Katherine Winnick, born December 3, 1977, in Toronto, is a Canadian actress with Ukrainian and Finnish heritage. Before her acting career, she was a professional taekwondo practitioner, holding a third-degree black belt and becoming one of Canada's youngest instructors at age 16. Winnick began acting in the early 2000s but gained international recognition in 2013 for her role as Lagertha in the historical series "Vikings."
She has appeared in various TV shows including "Bones," "The Blacklist," and "Law & Order," as well as films like "Love & Other Drugs" and "Pawn Kings 2." Winnick also participated in the Russian-Ukrainian project "I Am a Teacher."
