She earned a theater degree from Winthrop University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois. Her acting career began in the early 2000s with guest roles on various TV shows, gaining widespread recognition for her role as Veronica Fisher in Showtime's "Shameless," where she appeared throughout all eleven seasons.
Hampton also played Gabby Mosley in NBC's drama "Found" and appeared in series such as "Reba," "Scrubs," "Breaking Bad," and "Criminal Minds." Additionally, her likeness was used for the character Rochelle in the video game Left 4 Dead 2. Married to actor Daren Dukes since 2000, she has two children and continues to work actively in American television.
