Maria Shumakova, born on April 19, 1989, in Moscow, is a Russian theater and film actress. She graduated from the Shchepkin Higher Theatre School in 2010 and gained fame for her role as Natasha in the series Sweet Life (2014–2016), for which she gained 15 kg. Her notable works include Second Sight (2016), Pregnancy Test 2 (2019), Grozny (2020), and appearances in Interns, Kitchen, and Trace. She performs at the Sovremennik and Lenkom theaters.
In 2025, Shumakova received an award for best female role and was titled Honored Artist of St. Petersburg. She lives in St. Petersburg with her husband Slava Gusev, a PR manager at Comedy Club Production, whom she married in 2022.
