Marina Aleksandrova, born Pupenina on August 29, 1982, in Kiskunmajsa, Hungary, grew up near Lake Baikal, Tula, and St. Petersburg. She studied harp in music school and graduated from the Shchukin Theater School in 2003. Her acting career gained prominence with roles in Poor Nastya (2003), Azazel, Mosgaz, and Catherine (Catherine II). Between 2006 and 2011, she performed at the Sovremennik Theater and later at the Theater of Film Actors.
Marina was married to Ivan Stebunov from 2008 to 2010 and has been married to director Andrei Boltenko since 2012; they have two children. She is active on social media platforms and speaks French and English. Alongside her acting career, she participates in charity work.
