Lesya Ryabtseva, born July 28, 1991, in Volgograd, is a Russian journalist and radio host known for her provocative style and outspoken opinions. She moved to Moscow at age five and studied journalism at the Russian State University for the Humanities but did not graduate. Ryabtseva started her career at Echo of Moscow in 2011, working as an intern, guest producer, and assistant to editor-in-chief Alexei Venediktov. After resigning in 2013 and returning briefly in 2014, she left in 2015 to pursue independent projects and led Ksenia Sokolova’s 2016 election campaign.
