Eileen Gu, born September 3, 2003, in San Francisco, is an American-Chinese freestyle skier and two-time Olympic champion. She began skiing in childhood and won her first adult World Cup stage at 15. Representing China at the 2022 Beijing Olympics after obtaining citizenship in 2019, Gu earned gold medals in big air and halfpipe, and silver in slopestyle, becoming the first woman to win three freestyle medals at a single Olympics.
After a break post-2022 to study sociology and art at Stanford, Gu returned to competition in 2025, winning multiple World Cup stages. She maintains a strong social media presence and collaborates with brands such as Louis Vuitton and Tiffany, while also engaging in campaigns for gender equality.
